Design of Experiments

Program details
Course code:
HES6428

Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies have been in existence for many years now in a diverse range of industries ranging from medical research to agriculture. However, not many companies make use of DOE, mainly in favour of the classical “change one variable at a time” approach.

The main disadvantage of the one variable at a time approach is that true optimal values are rarely obtained since most process variable are not independent.

SeerPharma provides a two day training course on the principles of DOE, covering the following topics:

  • A review of hypothesis testing and ANOVA
  • Full Factorial and Fractional Factorial Designs
  • Response Surfaces
  • Mixture Designs
  • All topics will be explained using simulated and real case studies
Postgraduate Information:

This subject is also a core module in the GMP Postgraduate Course. It is also an entry point for students who do not have prior knowledge in GMP, Quality Assurance and Product Development practices and are considering working in the pharmaceutical or biotechology sectors. Students may also choose to apply directly to one of the GMP postgraduate courses.

Course fee:

Applicants should contact Swinburne to check their eligibility for the program & fees payable.
