Aims and Objectives
The Process Analytical Technology (PAT) initiative has introduced a number of rapid spectroscopic methods of analysis to the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and related industries, but associated with these methods is a large amount of data to be interpreted.

Applications, such as Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy require statistical methods to be applied to extract the relevant information out of the data. The data analysis methods are collectively referred to as Chemometrics. The principles of Chemometrics however extend beyond its application to spectroscopic data, for example, Chemometrics can be applied to past batch record data to detect trends not apparent to the eye when analysing data tables.

SeerPharma now provides training courses in the area of Chemometrics for analysing process and batch data. Courses are available at a beginners, intermediate and advanced level to suit the needs of your technical staff. Details of the courses are as follows:

An Introduction to Chemometrics:

This course is focussed at the beginner in the area or for those who want to refresh their knowledge and describes the general methodologies at a nonmathematical level. Topics include but are not restricted to:

  • What is Chemometrics
  • General Data Analysis and Graphical Methods
  • An Introduction to Principal Components Analysis and Data Interpretation
  • Introduction to quantitative methods

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for people working with any form of rapid spectrography tool and/or large data sets. It is assumed that you will already have a degree in chemistry, applied statistics, physics or chemistry.
