Analysing the Cost of Quality (1/2 day)

Aims and Objectives
What are quality-related costs, how do you manage them, and why do you need to?

Cost of Quality (COQ) is an excellent continuous improvement (CI) management tool that is used to effectively identify, prioritize and then track CI projects.

This half-day course will introduce participants to the various costs of quality. It will explain the role of quality cost management and present a quality cost model. The course will also offer insights into implementation issues.

On successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Understand the quality cost model and how it fits into a Quality System
• Discuss the four types of quality costs.
• Outline a process for the collection of Cost of Quality data.

The participants will be able to practice 6 Sigma tools using industry case studies.
