Nociceptive Pain: Treatment
Description: Pain sensations can result from adverse sensory and emotional experiences that cause actual or perceived tissue damage. The nervous system detects, processes, and interprets nociceptive stimuli, which is painful or potentially painful stimuli, to create the subjective pain experience. Pain caused by tissue injury, or nociceptive pain, leads to physical disability and high societal economic costs. This course discusses the treatment options for patients with nociceptive pain.
